Entrepreneur's idea just seems to fit

Once Jillene Lietzau got hooked on fitness, it was only a matter of time before she tried to get everyone around her hooked as well.
That time has come.
Lietzau has entered the fitness market with the grand opening of Go Figure!, a 30-minute circuit training workout center for woman located at 8079 E. Main Street, Ste 2 in Manchester.
We are a fitness-oriented family, Lietzau said. All my life its been a struggle to keep the weight off. I like eat, but I like to work out too, so I try to balance them out.
Lietzau got hooked back in 1994, when she was living in Anchorage, Alaska, when she began working with a personal trainer, working two hours a night, five days a week for three years,
It hooked me, Lietzau said. It absolutely hooked me.
So much so Lietzau decided to move the large amount of equipment out of her house and start her own business.
She first tried going with an established franchise but dropped that idea when she was told she couldnt incorporate some of her own ideas into the company. Go! Figure was the next logical step.
Just being within the fitness industry, I loved working with older women, people that werent in the best of shape and felt really uncomfortable going to a co-ed gym where it was kind of a meat-market atmosphere, Lietzau said.
Its really intimidating for people who are bigger to walk into a health facility at all. Period.
Lietzaus sister-in-law introduced her to the 30-minute fitness program.
It absolutely amazed me, Lietzau said. We worked out and I thought, Wow, this is fantastic.
Lietzaus program alternates between hydraulic exercise stations and recovery stations for a 30-minute period designed to maintain a high heart rate throughout while working three major muscle groups.
But Lietzaus program differs from other circuit training programs as her workout machines have resistance levels, so you can raise your workout as you go along.
When people start getting more athletically inclined and get in better shape, they can actually turn those machines up and get more resistance, Lietzau said. And that sets it apart from almost every other type of facility thats like this.
What else sets it a part is the fact that circuit training is weight free so there is no muscle soreness and the Pace hydraulic equipment places no impact on joints.
This goes with what your ability is, Lietzau said. However you want to it, it goes with you.
Lietzau provides every client with a health profile, an analysis record to chart progress, but does not provide medical or nutritional advice.
Go! Figure had its grand opening Monday and will be open for business Monday through Friday 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. until 7 p.m.
There will a grand opening party on Nov. 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
All new members will be entered in a drawing for prizes.
