KTP donates more than $13,000 to food banks

Kitsap Physical Therapy and Sports Clinics (KPT) set a goal in 2013 to raise $10,000 for area food bank. But they exceeded their expectations with $13,932.

South Kitsap Helpline is among the six food banks in Kitsap County which will receive a portion of the donations.

KPT helps fund the local food banks by donating 50 cents for each patient visit.

Store moving to new location

Taco Bell will move into the former Blockbuster video store on Mile Hill Drive.

The building was sold through First Western Properties for $605,000 and is undergoing renovations.

Taco Bell is owned by Orchard LLC of Silverdale, the franchisee for Taco Bell and KFC stores in the Kitsap County.

Blockbuster closed the store several months ago.

Chamber event Jan. 23 at Windermere

The Port Orchard Chamber of Commerce’s monthly after-hours event is set for 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, at Windermere Realty, located at 1200 Bethel Ave.

Worthley speaking at Chamber luncheon

The Port Orchard Chamber of Commerce’s monthly luncheon is set for 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, at the McCormick Woods Golf Course, 5155 McCormick Woods Drive SW.

Brad Worthley, of Brad Worthley International in Bellevue, will speak on “Exceeding Customer Expectations.”

Worthley is an internationally acclaimed expert in customer service, leadership and motivation, and he is invited to travel throughout the world speaking on those subjects. He has owned a business consulting firm in Bellevue for 22 years, written three books, and produced numerous training DVDs and CDs




Chamber after-hours at H&R Block

The Port Orchard Chamber of Commerce’s monthly after-hours event is set for 5 p.m. Thursday, FeB. 20, at H&R Block, located at 591 Bethel Road.
