Maxwell joins Kitsap Bank

Kitsap Bank announced that Steve Maxwell has joined their executive management team as executive vice president and chief lending officer.

Maxwell, who has more than 20 years of experience in commercial banking, was the president of South Puget Sound and Washington Middle Market Commercial Banking for Key Bank’s Western Region. He oversaw commercial lending teams in Pierce and King counties.

He is a 1990 graduate of Pacific Lutheran University, and earned his master’s degree in business administration from Washington State University in 2000.

“Steve is a natural leader with excellent communication skills and a drive to succeed,” said Kitsap Bank’s CEO Steven L. Politakis. “His knowledge of our local market, coupled with his experience, business acumen and leadership will enable us to drive quality loan production to the highest level. We are very pleased to welcome an individual of his caliber to Kitsap Bank’s leadership team.”

Maxwell currently serves as a member of the Pierce County Economic Development Board and chairs the American Heart Association’s Pierce County Walk. He is also vice chair of the University of Washington, Tacoma Advisory Board; serves on the Pacific Lutheran University Executive Advisory Board for the School of Business; and is a member of the Children’s Museum of Tacoma Advisory Board.
