KEDA offering free two-hour seminar for small businesses

BREMERTON — The Kitsap Economic Development Alliance (KEDA) is offering “Small Business Finance for Government Contractors: Prepping You for Success,” a free two-hour seminar for small businesses who are interested in expanding their business through government contracting.

The workshop will take place from 9-11 a.m. on July 23, in Bremerton. Pre-registration is required.

Gary Anderson, a seasoned Certified Public Account and CEO of Shelter Bay Group and former CFO for Paladin Data will take small business owners beyond accounting and into the world of a small business chief financial officer (CFO). Participants will learn the concepts that define the role of CFO and successful management of your small business.

Seminar topics will include cash flow, cost accounting, customer acquisition, customer care and capacity to grow.

The instructor will demonstrate the discipline of a 52-week rolling cash flow and explore tips for getting paid in 15 days or less, delve into the techniques necessary to measure profitability, outline an educational-based selling model and demonstrate how the instructor found 1,200 new clients in five years for his small town service business.
