Local pet welfare workers attend workshop

ST. LOUIS — Lisa Hill and Ashley Keil, of Port Orchard, represented Senior Dog Lodge at a one-day workshop in Seattle, presented by Petfinder, the online database of adoptable pets.

Topics included how to use the high traffic of Petco stores to increase adoptions for their organization, marketing pets online, tips and tricks to increase adoptions, using the internet to increase donor and volunteer engagement, shelter medicine and training shelter dogs.

Senior Dog Lodge is an all-volunteer run, non-profit organization located at 6598 East Chester Road in Port Orchard.
