A road rage incident in Bremerton Jan. 15 led to a baseball bat through a window.

An 18-year-old Port Orchard man told a Bremerton police officer at 3:14 p.m. that a black passenger car began pursuing him while driving south on State Highway 3, according to reports.

When he decided to exit the highway and take a back route from Bremerton to Gorst, the same car abruptly took the same off ramp. The 18-year-old made several turns in the area of Auto Center Way in an attempt to lose the car following him, with no luck. He made a wrong turn searching for the highway and pulled into the fire station parking lot at the corner of Kitsap Way and Arsenal Way. After the black car pulled behind him, the driver came out with a baseball bat and broke the driver's side window of the 18-year-old's 1971 Volkswagen Beetle, denting the window frame. The suspect then drove away.

Based on the 18-year-old's description of the suspect and his vehicle, officers found probable cause to arrest a 19-year-old Bremerton man.
