About 100 Webelos, fourth and fifth grade boy scouts, swarmed Van Zee Park along Tremont Street, July 11 through 15 their annual summer camp.
“It’s kind of the pinnacle of cub scouting,” said Sean Neal, the Sinclair scouting district’s senior executive.
About 23 nearby packs attended the first week of camp, and about the same number are expected to participate during the “Tigers and Cubs only” week, for the younger cub scouts, July 18 through 22.
Activities for the first group included woodworking, flag folding, marching, archery, bee bee gun shooting, cooking, crafts and an obstacle course.
