Legal counseling, free haircuts and groceries, foreclosure information, VA health care enrollment, clothing, financial assistance, housing, lunch and much more will be offered Tuesday to veterans at Fall 2011 Kitsap County Stand Down for veterans and their families.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Presidents Hall at the Kitsap County fairgrounds. A DD214 is required for entry, and veterans are encouraged to bring several copies of their DD214 for other services.
Free shuttle service to the event starts at 9 a.m. throughout the county.
In Port Orchard, shuttles (DAV & Harper Church vans) will leave approximately every 30 minutes from South Kitsap Helpline Food Bank, 1012 Mitchell Road, and from Kitsap Community Resources, 1211 Bay St.
