Costumed canines gathered Sunday for a Yappy Yowl-o-Ween party.

The gathering for pets and their owners was held at the Lighthouse Restaurant in Port Orchard.

The party was organized by K.T. Arthur as a fun way for dog owners to meet and to support efforts to maintain off-leash dog parks in Kitsap County.

The waterfront patio behind the restaurant was filled Sunday afternoon with a couple dozen dogs of all sizes, most of them decked out in costumes.
