Chamber of Commerce to host reception with state legislators

The Port Orchard Chamber of Commerce will host a reception with state legislators from Kitsap and Pierce and Kitsap counties before the start of the Legislature's 2012 session.

The session with the 26th District legislators will be at 5 p.m. on Jan. 5 at the Port Orchard Pavilion, 701 Bay St.

Sen. Derek Kilmer and Reps. Jan Angel and Larry Seaquist will each give a short presentation as they prepare to open the regular legislative session Jan 8. The session will also include an update from Kitsap County Commissioner Charlotte Garrido.

Light refreshments will be served during the meet-and-greet portion of the event.

The gathering is open to the public. Reservations are appreciated, but not required. Registration and other inquiries can be made by calling (360) 876-3505 or emailing office@portorchard.com.
