Michael and Evelyn Small celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday

Married 1962 in Sherrill, N.Y., Michael served 26 years in the Navy. They moved to the Port Orchard in 1987.

Michael retired from Key Port Naval Underwater Warfare Center in 1992. Since then, the couple has enjoyed bowling and bike riding together.

Evelyn is a member of the Colby United Methodist church. She loves to work in the yard.

The proud couple has two sons, Jeffrey Small of Port Orchard and David Small of Phoenix, and four grandchildren.
