Chief Aviation Ordnanceman Jaime Evock, from Dauphin, Penn., drops a concussion grenade during a training exercise on the fantail aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74).

The John C. Stennis Strike Group, consisting of USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74), Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 9, Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 21 and USS Mobile Bay (CG 53) is forward deployed to the U.S. 7th fleet to strengthen regional partnerships, sustaining maritime security, and support combatant commander requirements for assets in the area.
