POBSA launches informational website

A one-stop source for information on downtown Port Orchard is now available.

From finding businesses, updates on the new Public Market and pedestrian walkway or a calendar of events, the Port Orchard Bay Street Association (POBSA) announced they launched their new website, www.pobsa.com.

“The new website introduces our community to first time visitors and long time residents,” said Bek Ashby, chairman of the POBSA marketing committee. “We wanted to design something simple and easy to use that would still be dynamic. Developing the site gave us an opportunity to reach out to all of our member businesses, get updated information and at the same time gave the members an opportunity to review and refresh their own websites and Facebook pages.”

Ashby said the Web Committee, which included Shelia Cline of the Jingle Bell Run and Kathleen Wilson of the Port Orchard Library, worked on the website.

“Sheila has made a remarkable difference in revitalizing our Facebook page,” Ashby said. “We worked with Guy R. Cook of vDomainHosting in building the site and were able to collaborate with the City of Port Orchard, Fathoms o’ Fun, the Chamber of Commerce, VCB and Port of Bremerton as we worked hard to make www.pobsa.com a great place to find out what’s happening in Port Orchard.”

POBSA is a non-profit association committed to promoting and enhancing downtown Port Orchard.
