South Kitsap schools hosting fall and harvest themed events

Schools in the South Kitsap School District will host several fall and harvest theme events through the remainder of the month.

East Port Orchard Elementary School will host a “Fall Carnival” beginning at 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25.

A “FFA Community Harvest Party” is slated Saturday, Oct. 26, from 12-4 p.m. at John Sedgwick Junior High School. There will be food, games, tractors, a silent auction and a petting zoo. Proceeds benefit the SKSD FFA program.

Burley-Glenwood Elementary will host a “Beary Scary Festival” from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31.There will be a trick-or-treat lane, games, face painting, family photo booth, fall book fair and more. The event is sponsored by the Burley-Glenwood Elementary PTSO. Pre-sale tickets are six for $1 if purchased by Oct. 25 and four for $1 at the door. Food tickets will be sold separately for $1.50 that includes corn dog, chips, apple and bottled water.
