Teacher earns National Board Certification

Ann Braunstein, special education teacher at Orchard Heights Elementary School, received her National Board Certification in 2013 for Professional Teaching Standards.

This certification is the highest credential in the teaching profession. This voluntary process is achieved through a rigorous performance – based assessment that takes between one and three years to complete.

There are 67 teachers in the South Kitsap School District with National Board Certification.
