Public market hosting fundraiser Feb. 28

A preview and benefit for the Port Orchard Public Market is set from 7-10 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, at the market located on 715 Bay Street.

Tickets are on sale for $25 in advance and $35 at the door. They can be purchased through Don Ryan, Port Orchard Bay Street Association president, by calling 360-876-6354 or by email at donmryan@gmail.com.

Each ticket will come with vouchers for two drinks (beer or wine). A simple “no host” bar also will be available.

According to Susan Keller, assistant project coordinator of the Port Orchard Public Market, the market’s anchor vendors — Carter's Chocolates and Ice Cream, Central Dock Restaurant, Northwest Seafood and Wine, Sue’s Lavender and More and Bay Street Meat Company — will supply food and products for the event.

Amanda Grzadzielewski and Acoustic Mindfield will provide live music.

Keller said there will be auctions — both live and silent — and a raffle.

“There may be other activities as well, but those plans are not solid yet,” Keller said. “It should be a fun night.”
