A local resident’s dog won Best of Breed during the Westminster Kennel Club 138th Annual Dog Show — called the “Super Bowl of Dog Shows” — on Feb. 10-11 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Dale Michaelson and Brian Rasmussen’s Irish setter, Kristopher, won Best of Breed for Irish Setters on Tuesday. The competition was judged by Virginia Murray. It was the first time the dog had competed in the prestigious dog show.

The dog, who registered name is Abbeylane Tramore Above the Limit, was born April 29, 2009.

Kristopher is a product of Tramore Galewinns Mak’n An Impact and Tramore Limited Edition, both champion Irish Setters.
