South Kitsap School District launches new online calendar

South Kitsap School District recently adopted a new online calendar program. Tandem Calendar is simple to use and can be filtered to highlight specific sports, schools, or activities.

The Tandem Calendar program allows users to see all the events taking place across the district. Users may also track specific schools or activities.

“We want our families to have a user-friendly tool to stay connected to what is going on throughout the district.” stated Communications Specialist Amy Miller. “The goal of upgrading the calendar tool is to provide the most up-to-date information possible to our stakeholders.”

One of the highlights of the new calendar is the “fan” feature. Registered users of Tandem Calendar can become a “fan” of a specific group. For example, if a community member enjoys South Kitsap High School baseball they should become a “fan” on the calendar. If there are changes to the schedule due to weather or other reasons, “fans” of SK baseball receive a text or email notification.

There are also directions to other schools and facilities linked from the calendar.
