Seagull Wings cook-off winners announced

The Port Orchard Chamber of Commerce announced the winners of the seventh annual Seagull Wings Cook-off held May 24.

First place went to MoonDogs, Too, while Everybody’s American Cookhouse finished second. Newcomer, Robert Earl Lighthouse was third. Wing Masters, Calvin Cowan and Mike Angell, won the People’s Choice Award.

There were 11 competitiors and 20 entries. Wings were judged on tastes, plating and presentation.

This year’s judges were Darryl Daugs, executive director for Habitat for Humanity; Kathleen Wilson, branch manager of the Port Orchard Library; Barry Doll, vice-president the Chamber board; Steve Sego, past wings cook-off winner; Dawn Jacks, Chamber Silver Sponsor; and Michelle Caldier, Republican candidate for District 26 state representative, Pos. 2.
