WSF to host public meeting
May 7, 2010 · 9:01 AM
South Kitsap residents who utilize the ferry system can profit from an upcoming community meeting held by the Washington State Ferries (WSF) division.
WSF is inviting the public to a meeting this Wednesday to provide information, answer questions and hear public comments on a variety of issues related to the ferry system.
Topics include new vessel construction progress, vehicle reservations, the marketing program, efforts to improve on-time performance, the fare change process and emergency service planning.
An additional 25 percent surcharge was applied to fares due to the peak season beginning on May 1.
“I’m looking forward to meeting with our customers and community members to discuss the direction received this legislative session and the priorities for the ferry system moving forward,” said David Moseley, assistant secretary for WSF.
The meeting will be held on May 12, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at the Harper Church, 10384 Sedgwick Road SE.
