Showing of ‘Shirley Valentine’ benefits SK Helpline

South Kitsap Helpline is hosting a fundraiser Sunday at the Historic Orchard Theater in downtown Port Orchard.

The movie will be 1989’s “Shirley Valentine,” which stars Pauline Collins as a bored British housewife who finds adventure and romance when she decides to run off to Greece with one of her girlfriends.

The movie begins at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 20, and the suggested donation is $20 per ticket. Each ticket comes with two door-prize tickets, as there will be several giveaways presented along with the movie.

The theater is located at 822 Bay Street.

Helpline is a non-profit organization that includes a food bank and the Vintage to Vogue Treasures & Collectibles store. It provides food to more than 3,600 individuals each month.
