The Manchester Library’s activity room was far from quiet Tuesday afternoon as Children’s Librarian Heidi Larsen hosted the first Teen Tuesday event.

It featured Doritos, soda and even Larsen herself trying her hand at singing before enough teens showed up to play all the parts for a session of Rock Band.

Fortunately, the library has been able to replace the large screen television that was stolen last year, and offered participants a guitar, drums and microphone to use.

Next week, Larsen is hosting a “Princess Fancy Nancy” party on Saturday, March 13 from 1 to 4 p.m. She said girls are invited to wear their princess finest, walk the “runway” and even have their picture taken before enjoying some “butterfly tea.”
