A man suspected of having a felony warrant died Friday night in West Bremerton after a police chase and gunshots.

The dead man was identified as Kyle L. K. Hoapili, 27, with a last known address in Port Orchard.

An autopsy was scheduled for Monday morning. The county coroner will determine the cause and manner of death.

The Washington State Patrol is conducting an investigation.

According to a statement released by the Sheriff’s Office and the Brmerton Police Department, the pursuit was started by a deputy at 9:55 p.m. in the 4200 block of Kitsap Way.
