Taken from incident reports by Kitsap County Sheriff's Deputies:

Kitsap County sheriff’s deputies arrested South Kitsap brothers for drag racing on Mitchell Road Southeast around 3:57 p.m. on June 10.

One, a 29-year-old, drove a silver, two-door Acura. The other, a 28-year-old, drove a red, two-door Acura.

Both had been driving at speeds in excess of 50 miles per hour on Mitchell Road from Bethel Avenue, in a residential area near East Port Orchard Elementary.

The speed limit had been set to 35 mile per hour, for the area.

Both admitted that they'd been playing a "cat and mouse" game.

Neither brother could provide a current proof insurance or vehicle registration for their car, when the deputies stopped them for speeding.

Deputies arrested both and turned their cars over to their parents, at their request. Bail was initially set at $5,000 each, but they were released on personal recognizance.
