Port Orchard motorcycle driver dies following Belfair collision

Taken from an incident report by the Washington State Patrol:
David A. Kahlvik, a 42-year-old Port Orchard man, died following a head on collision on State Rout 3 one mile north of Belfair, around 5:41 p.m. on Saturday.
Kahlvik was driving his 2008 Yamaha XVS11A motorcycle northbound on State Rout 3 when a 1995 Saturn SL2, driving south, swerved into his lane and hit his vehicle.
Kahlvik was thrown from his motorcycle and died at the scene.
The Saturn spun around 180 degrees and was rear ended by a 2003 Volvo XC90.
It was totaled and later impounded to Northshore Towing.
The Saturn's driver, a 25-year-old Lacey man, was transported to Harrison Hospital with a broken ankle.
All three passengers in the Volvo were uninjured. The Washington State Patrol is investigating the incident.
