Port Orchard man injured, passenger killed in head-on crash

A 49-year-old Port Orchard man was seriously injured and a passenger in his car was killed in a head-on crash on State Route 305 near Poulsbo, the Washington State Patrol reports.
Michael Eischen was driving south on SR 305 when a northbound vehicle that had been spotted weaving all over the road crossed the center line and struck Eischen's car. Before the crash, the northbound vehicle also had struck a row of mailboxes.
Eischen and the other car's driver, 46-year-old Kim Yeager of Poulsbo, were both airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. A passenger in Eischen's car, 50-year-old Jenna Carp of Bremerton, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
The incident is under investigation and no charges have been filed yet, the State Patrol reports.
