A 19-year-old Port Orchard woman was arrested for allegedly being the driver for two men suspected in an extensive string of burglaries in Kitsap, Pierce and Jefferson counties.
All three suspects were arrested Thursday in front of the Kitsap County Courthouse in Port Orchard after Pierce County authorities advised the Kitsap County Sheriff's Office that the two men were driving the woman to a court appearance.
The two males are suspected in a string of burglaries in which coins, guns, jewelry, sterling silver and cash were stolen, according to a sheriff's office report.
After deputies arrested the woman, they searched her purse and found a bottle of a prescription narcotic with the label peeled off and two gold collector coins. According to their report, the woman admitted driving the two men to a residence in Seabeck that was burglarized Dec. 8.
The woman was booked into the Kitsap County jail on charges of residential burglary, possession of stolen property and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription. Her bail was set at $150,000.
