Free farmers market vouchers for seniors

The Chuckwagon Senior Nutrition Program is currently offering $40 in free farmer’s market vouchers for qualifying Kitsap senior citizens. The vouchers may be used at participating farmer’s markets to purchase fresh local produce.

Vouchers are distributed at 2817 Wheaton Way, Suite 208 in Bremerton Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. only. Vouchers are given on a first come, first serve basis, while they last.

To qualify, one must be 60 years of age or older, a Washington resident and household income cannot exceed $1,723 per month for one person or $2,333 for two. A photo ID is required.
