Power outage closes high school

South Kitsap High School sent students home at 10 a.m. this morning after experiencing a power outage earlier.

According to the South Kitsap School District Website, outage occurred at 8 a.m. Students were moved from their classes to more naturally lit places like the library until 10 a.m. when they were sent home on busses.

Because of the outage, school telephone service is unavailable.

After school activities are cancelled for the day.
