"We're taking orders,” Robert Gakin said.

Now that he and Billy Joe Knight have finished their electric vehicle, they're excited to help anyone else build theirs.

With their converted Nissan gutted and reworked, Knight is ready to drive up to 80 miles on a single charge, paying about 1.5 cents each mile versus the average 41 cents a pile other cars pay for gas.
