Dedication of Old Glory Park at the Bremerton National Airport

Tuesday, Oct. 9 the Port Commissioners, staff and attendees took time at its regular business meeting to celebrate the dedication of Old Glory Park at the Bremerton National Airport. An honor guard of Navy JROTC Knight Company cadets presented and raised the colors followed by the flag salute led by Commissioner Larry Stokes.
The honor guard was under the direction of CDR Gary Brooks (Retired) and was comprised of three Navy JROTC cadets, Michael Shiflet, Blaine Dueck and Casey Woods from Bremerton High School.
The park was recently enhanced with the addition of three new flag poles. Design and construction of the park was done by Port maintenance staff members Ed Draper, Jim Garcia and Lamar Wright.
Follow the ceremony the Commissioners resumed the Ports business meeting.
