Central Kitsap Community Council meeting | Nov. 28

November 23, 2012 · 9:59 AM

The Central Kitsap Community Council will focus on Central Kitsap parks at its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Nov. 28 in the multi-purpose room of the Central Kitsap Fire Station 51 (next to the Silverdale Post Office).

The meeting will kick-off with a presentation by Jim Dunwiddie, director of Kitsap County Parks and Recreation, on the state of the parks and the County's response to maintaining quality parks in the face of severe fiscal constraints.

The council also welcomes special guests from those “on the ground” who will talk about the health of area parks. Tom Coleman and Cliff Clark discuss their stewardship experiences in the Newberry Hill Heritage Park and Guillemot Nature Reserve and Mary Earl and Tex Lewis of the Clear Creek Task Force will give an update on the Clear Creek Trail.
