Released sex offender to live in Olalla
June 12, 2008 · Updated 9:24 AM
A 17-year-old Level III sex offender was released this month to live in South Kitsap on Banner Road, the Kitsap County Sheriffs Office reported.
Spokesman Deputy Scott Wilson said that Ajay Morrice Dufault was released from a juvenile corrections facility on Oct. 10, and has registered his residence as on the 10000 block of Banner Road.
According to court documents, Dufault was convicted in November
2004 of attempted first-degree child molestation, and of fourth-degree assault, 4th degree.
Then in April of 2006, he was convicted again of attempted first-degree child molestation.
Other than the crimes he was convicted of, Wilson said Dufault has admitted to sexually abusing other male and female juveniles.
He is required to register his residence with the Sheriffs Office, and due to his prior criminal history, officials consider his potential to re-offend high, Wilson said.
He is described as a white, teen-aged male, 5-11, 200-pounds, with brown hair and eyes.
A community notification meeting regarding Dufaults relocation is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 23 in the multi-use room of Olalla Elementary School, 6100 SE Denny Bond Blvd., Olalla.
