A 45-year-old Bremerton man was struck by a vehicle near the intersection of state Route 303 and McWilliams Road at about 9:02 p.m. on New Year’s Eve.
According to the Washington State Patrol, Bremerton resident Karl A. Flores, 45, was on foot when he entered the northbound lane of SR 303 from the east.
That’s when he was struck by a pink 1996 Volkswagen Jetta being driven by Bremerton resident.
Flores was eventually transported to Tacoma General Hospital.
The driver, who was wearing a seatbelt at the time, was unhurt and despite reportable damage to her vehicle was able to drive it from the scene.
The state patrol said that the collision was the result of Flores being in the roadway and no charges were filed.
