A 13-year-old boy who went missing Wednesday afternoon near East Port Orchard Elementary School was found about 3 p.m. Thursday at Sk8Town Rolling Skating Rink on Piperberry Way in Port Orchard.

“We were finally able to track his movements through the course of the night,” Kitsap County Sheriff’s spokesman Scott Wilson said. “He’s healthy, fine and will return home.”

Boyd was last seen with a friend at the school around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to Wilson. Boyd, who lives in Bremerton, was staying at his mother’s home in Port Orchard. He did not return Wednesday night.

In addition to the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office, teams from Explorer Search and Rescue of Kitsap County and All Breeds Canine Search and Rescue assisted with the search.
