Man smashes car's window, beats driver

An 18-year-old was arrested for second-degree assault Friday evening after allegedly smashing a car window and pulling out the driver in a reported fit of rage after seeing his girlfriend in the mans car.
Christopher Sepetaio was jailed Dec. 26 following the incident that began when the alleged victim, a 22-year-old Poulsbo man, said he was driving past the Texaco Station on South Kitsap Boulevard in Port Orchard.
According to the police report, the victim said he was driving two passengers a male and a female home after a party they all attended the night before. As he approached the intersection of Pottery Avenue and South Kitsap Boulevard, the victim said Sepetaio suddenly ran up to his car window and smashed it.
The suspect then began hitting him through the window, the victim said, and eventually pulled him out onto the street and kept pummeling him there. According the responding officer, several witnesses on scene some who had called 911 confirmed the victims story.
Medical units responded and treated the victim, who reportedly had a 1/4-inch piece of glass in his eye, along with several cuts and bruises.
The officer then interviewed Sepetaio, who agreed to talk after being read his rights.
Sepetaio said he was walking toward the Texaco station when he saw his girlfriend in the victims car as it drove by.
He said he became upset because his girlfriend claimed the victim had touched her at a previous party when she didnt want him to.
Sepetaio was booked into Kitsap County Jail for second-degree assault and third-degree malicious mischief.
He was held on $100,000 bail.
