U.S. Rep Derek Kilmer released the following statement on the passing of former Governor Booth Gardner.

“I was deeply saddened to learn of Governor Booth Gardner’s passing. Governor Gardner served the people of Washington in countless ways from improving education to expanding social services to improving children’s health care. His record of service to our state is unequaled and his dedication to improving lives in our region is an inspiring legacy that will live on for years.  From the time I was a kid through the time I've been in public service, I valued his good humor, his advice, and the twinkle in his eye. The entire state of Washington will miss him.”
