Lodging Tax Advisory Committee member sought

The Kitsap County Board of Commissioners is accepting applications from residents interested in serving on the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee.

The committee reviews applications for lodging tax revenue and makes recommendations to County Commissioners on how to best distribute and expend these funds.The time commitment is 10-15 hours total.

The committee is made up of at least five members, including two representatives from businesses required to collect lodging tax and two from local agencies involved in tourism promotion and events eligible to receive lodging tax revenue but which are not applying in the 2014 funding year.

There is a vacancy for a representative from tourism promotion and events.
