Port of Bremerton seeks candidates for CEO

BREMERTON — The Port of Bremerton Commissioners announced that they are seeking a chief executive officer to replace retiring CEO Tim Thomson.

Port Commission President Larry Stokes explained that the commission will look industry-wide to find the right person for this position.

"The commission is establishing a selection process that provides an opportunity for candidates to have equal access to be selected as a finalist and for the commission to have a final group of applicants with outstanding qualifications," Stokes said.

The commission wants to fill the CEO position effective Dec. 1, for a one-month orientation period with current CEO Tim Thomson prior to assuming full responsibilities on Jan. 1, upon Thomson’s retirement.
