Search for hit-and-run driver continues

The search continues for a male suspect who was involved in a hit-and-run accident Monday morning near the intersection of Pottery Avenue and Lippert Drive.

According to a Kitsap County Sheriff’s report, the suspect was driving a white Chevrolet Tahoe when it struck a Jeep Cherokee, driven by a female, about 9 a.m. The female was not injured.

Port Orchard police also responded to the scene.

The male driver didn’t stop and was pursued by a sheriff’s deputy, who was responding to the scene. The Tahoe traveled a few blocks before it crashed on a road near the Arbor Terrace Apartments. The suspect exited the Tahoe and ran into a wooded area nearby.

The suspect is described as a dark complexed male, 5-foot-10 inches to 6-feet tall, wearing a white shirt and baseball cap.
