Presentation on Manchester stormwater park set

MANCHESTER — Kitsap County Public Works invites community members to a short presentation of the latest conceptual drawing for the new Manchester Stormwater Park. The meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12, at the Manchester Public Library, 8067 East Main St.

A design workshop and public input period was held earlier this fall for the public to provide suggestions for the community commons area of the stormwater park. Based on this input, county staff will present and discuss the Stormwater Park conceptual drawing.

This project, with construction scheduled to begin in 2014, will add high-capacity stormwater treatment for the area and create a new Stormwater Park with community amenities at the corner of Colchester and Main Street.
