Man charged with possessing child porn

A Port Orchard man has been charged with possession of child pornography in Kitsap County District Court on Dec. 2.

Cliff Ray Maynard, 41, faces one count of first-degree possession of depictions of minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

According to charging papers, Port Orchard police officers executed a search warrant Nov. 1 at a home in the 1100 block of Tacoma Avenue. Police seized computers, media storage devices, CDs and video tapes at the residence. The evidence was delivered to the Washington State Patrol crime lab in Olympia for forensic analysis. Some of the CDs contained images of minors engaged in sexual conduct.

Court documents stated investigators discovered images of Maynard on several CDs.

Maynard was arrested Nov. 28. He remains in the Kitsap County Jail and bail was set at $100,000.
