Applications for water district commissioner being accepted

MANCHESTER — The Manchester Water District board of commissioners is accepting applications from interested residents to fill a board vacancy.

Commissioner Kyle Galpin resigned from his position on March 11, because he is moving outside the district service territory.

The district, formed in 1942, serves the communities of Manchester, Colby, Harper, and Southworth. The three-member board meets on the second Tuesday of every month at 5:30 p.m. in the Manchester Public Library.

Each commissioner participates in developing policy, establishing utility rates, and strategic planning. Applicants must reside within Manchester Water District’s corporate limits. Eligibility will be verified prior to appointment.

Letters of interest stating qualifications may be submitted to:

Board Chair Pedersen, Manchester Water District, P.O. Box 98, Manchester, WA 98353. Letters will be accepted until 4:30 p.m., April 15.
