SK native joins Wolfe’s campaign team

Rebekah Johnson, who most recently served as Sen. Jan Angel’s finance director, has joined Ed Wolfe’s campaign for county commissioner as finance foordinator.

The South Kitsap and UW-Tacoma grad helped the Angel campaign raise more than $750,000 last year.

Wolfe, a Republician, is running for the District 3 seat vacated late last year by Democrat Josh Brown. Recently appointed Kitsap County Commissioner Linda Streissguth, a Democrat, announced her bid for a full four-year term on the board.

Wolfe also announced that North Kitsap native Abby Burlingame has been appointed campaign manager. She has served in key positions in local and regional campaigns, as well as running her own Kitsap County race in 2010.

Filing for the position will be in May and the primary election is Aug. 5.
