Two will share role as interim CFO for SKSD

Superintendent Michelle Reid announced that Allen Jones and Joe Paperman will share the role of interim chief financial officer (CFO) for the South Kitsap School District.

Sandy Rotella resigned last month as the district’s CFO and the district will hire a permanent replacement after the job posting closes on April 25.

Jones, who spent 11 years as director of financial resources and support services for the Tumwater School District, will take over the daily operations of the position, while Paperman will focus on developing a five-year financial restoration plan for the district.

Paperman will also assist Reid with the Citizen Budget Advisory Team.

Jones, currently employed part-time as a school business consultant and university instructor, is a board member for Education Service District (ESD)113 in Tumwater.

He spent 12 years at the Washington State Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction, including five years as director of Washington State office of School Apportionment and Financial Services and four years as former Gov. Mike Lowry’s K-12 budget assistant in the Office of Financial Management.

Paperman worked as interim assistant superintendent for Business and Finance for Seattle Public Schools.
