Online fund set up, fundraisers set up for drowning victim

An online fund has been set up to help with financial support for 17-year-old Josh Osborn, who is presume drowned July 4 in a Ohanpecosh River in the Mount Rainier National Forest.

The account was set up by Faith Fulsoul, a family friend, on www.gofundme.com, under “In Loving Memory of Josh Osborn”

The goal is $25,000 and as of press time Friday, more than $10,000 has been raised.

Osborn, a South Kitsap High School junior, was a member of the Wolves football team.

He is survived by his father, Brian, mother, Jennifer, and brother, Jake.

Other fundraisers scheduled are:

• On July 26, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., a car wash is planned at the The Frozen One yogurt shop, 1800 Mile Hill Dr., Port Orchard.

• The Route 16 Running Club has included a memorial for Osborn during the annual Miracle Run 5K on Aug. 9. The run begins at 9 a.m. at South Kitsap Regional Park, 2841 SE Lund Ave. Go online to www.miraclerun5k.com, click “online registration” to designate a donation.
