State Route 302 Purdy Spit work completed ahead of schedule

PURDY — A Washington State Department of Transportation maintenance project to repair a segment of rock bulkhead along the Purdy Spit on State Route 302 was completed a day ahead of schedule.

Since the work has been completed, the July 31 overnight closure of the bridge across the waterway has been cancelled.

During the work, crews made repairs to the rock bulkhead previously damaged by fierce weather and high tides.
