South Kitsap schools closed again on Friday

Students in the South Kitsap School District will get an unexpectedly longer Christmas vacation than had been planned thanks to the weather man.

After a winter storm dropped up to eight inches of snow on parts of South Kitsap on Thursday, canceling classes, district officials announced that evening that all schools and administrative support offices would be closed again on Friday.

With students already scheduled to be off on vacation starting Monday, the snow closures will add an extra two days to the holiday.
