Sheriff’s Office wants to hear from residents missing power tools
September 25, 2009 · 11:21 AM
Detectives with the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office are requesting help from the public in identifying residents who may have had property stolen, particularly power tools.
Spokesman Deputy Scott Wilson reported that investigators are looking for people who have had tools such as pressure washers, chainsaws, leaf blowers, generators and boating equipment stolen from a shed, garage or other building.
The area they are focusing on is the area surrounding Panther Lake West, both in Kitsap County and Mason County.
Wilson said two suspects have been identified, and one was in custody as of Sept. 23. Most of the stolen property was recovered from various pawn shops in Kitsap and Pierce counties.
Anyone believing they are a victim of these crimes is asked to contact Detective Chad Birkenfeld at (360) 337-5619 with: a case report number, the date of the crime and a list of any missing property.
