A 49-year-old South Kitsap man was arrested twice in one weekend for assaulting and harassing his wife, the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office reported.

According to the incident reports, the suspect was first contacted by deputies around 9:30 p.m. March 6 after he allegedly assaulted his wife’s friend at his home on Journey Lane S.E.

The victim, a 47-year-old South Kitsap woman, said she had dinner with suspect’s wife in Tacoma and returned to find the suspect very angry about them being out. When she tried to talk to him, the suspect grabbed her by the hair, pushed her against the wall and threatened to kill her. She then called 911.

When deputies arrived, they contacted the suspect, who denied assaulting the victim or saying he would kill her, but told the deputies “I wear the pants in my house.”

He was place under arrest for fourth-degree assault and booked into Kitsap County Jail.

Several hours later, the suspect was released on bail at 3 a.m. When his wife came to pick him up, she brought the victim with her. The suspect, who was ordered to have no contact with the victim, began verbally assaulting the victim when he realized she was in the car.

Deputies returned to the house and arrested the suspect for violation of a no-contact order.
